Infant/Toddler Program

We are a family-friendly daycare center that specializes in care for infants and toddlers up to 3 years old.

We understand how hard it is to leave your child in someone else's care and we strive to give them the best we can offer. Everything we do, from our professional and experienced staff to our age-appropriate play-based programs, is done so with love and trust in mind.

Daily Schedule

Snacks & Meals

Please send a nutritious lunch and a healthy snack each day. Parents/guardians are responsible to pack lunches that they are comfortable with children choosing freely from, self-determining what they want to eat.

Filtered water, milk and one snack will be provided by Mommy’s Daycare for your child each day.  Snack foods include fruit, vegetables, yogurt, cheese; for infants we will offer baby food pouches and pureed fruits such as apple sauce.  Monthly snack schedules will be posted by the sign-in sheets or on the parent board. Water will be served with all snacks and mealtimes

At Mommy’s Daycare, we want to foster a positive relationship between children and food right from the start. To do so, we use the Division of Responsibility Model (DOR). DOR acknowledges that caregivers and children both have responsibilities around food. Adults are responsible for the ‘when’, ‘what’ and ‘where’. Children are responsible for the ‘how much’ and ‘whether’ they eat.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not send any candies, chocolate bars or pop. Please do not send anything that needs to be cooked; we do not use the stove. We can access a microwave to reheat food; please ensure any foods that must be reheated for lunch are in a microwaveable-safe container.

*We are a nut-free facility - do not send any nuts, foods with nut-products, nut-butters, or foods made in a facility that processes nuts.

Nap Time

Children sleep in individual sleeping areas. Mommy’s Daycare provides bedding, but feel free to bring your child's favourite blanket or soft toy for naptime! The bedding is individual-use only and is washed on a weekly basis.

For children who are under 15 months, if needed, we will adjust the nap schedule to accommodate the child and their parents.

Clothing & Supplies

At Mommy's Daycare, we engage in a large range of activities indoors and outdoors. In order for your child to participate and feel comfortable, we ask that you send them in daycare-appropriate clothing.

Children learn through play and at Mommy’s Daycare, we will not restrict children’s play because they may get dirty. We suggest you send your child in "daycare clothing" that may get dirty, stained and possibly ruined. If you have a concern about your child leaving daycare in dirty clothing, we suggest that you bring a change of clothes that you can change your child into before leaving for the day. We require all clothing to be marked with your child’s name.

We ask that outside clothing be sent according to the weather:

Spring and Fall: Rainboots, muddy buddies and appropriate weight jackets for the weather.

Winter: Warm boots, snow pants, mittens/gloves, warm hats to cover ears and winter jackets.

Summer: Warm weather clothes according to the weather. Waterproof pull-ups and swimsuit, towel, hats and sunscreen.
